Taipa Village is an artsy place where you can find lots of murals, street arts and fine arts from local and international artists.  Taipa Village Art Space is one of my favorite art venues to spend my time during the weekend.   Regular workshops are also held here, including handcraft, calligraphy and paintings.  By participating the workshops, I can also make friends here.

Taipa Village is just like a “Little Portugal” for me, with lots of alfresco dining experience and outdoor terrace which offers panoramic rooftop views. When I first stepped into this lovely village, a pink European-style building caught my attention – It is Tapas de Portugal, where I felt like nestling into a backyard garden.  The rooftop is always an ideal location for reading, studying and enjoying my coffee.  This Portuguese restaurant also offers a generous selection of Portuguese tapas and main dishes, as well as a wide range of cocktails.

My journey in Macau is never completed without an egg tart.  That’s true.  I am lucky to live in the city of gastronomy, where delicacies are omnipresent. Lord Stow’s Bakery is a not-to-be-missed eatery to taste the real legacy in Macau.   Since its opening in the Cunha Street in 2016, egg tart has become my best comfort food here.

Aside from local street bites, I enjoy taking a leisurely stroll in the village, lingering between the alleys and backstreets, where Rooftop is the one that shines.  For me, it is like a treasure trove for everything that matters – from accessories, stationery, homeware to screen printing T-shirts, complemented by a rooftop floor with impeccable view, where I can enjoy my reading with a cup of coffee.

Portugalia is another favorite restaurant for me to enjoy the authentic Portuguese flavours.  It is also a lovely place for me to gather with my friends, spend a weekend evening with FADO nights.  Don’t’ miss the chance to taste its signature steak (Steak “à Portugália) which is only found here.  Can you imagine what will happen when juicy steak mixes with french fries and silky butter sauce?  It’s all about secret recipe.
